KER LI CAPSULES (LOPERAMIDE)

Indications

Temporarily relieves mild to moderate acute diarrhea (bacterial, amoebic dysentery).
Dosage and Administration
Ingredients

Adults and children 12 years and older: For acute diarrhea, take 2 tablets immediately, followed by 1 tablet after each episode of diarrhea. Do not exceed 8 tablets within 24 hours.

Children 6 years and older but under 12 years old: For acute diarrhea, take 1 tablet initially, followed by 1 tablet after each episode of diarrhea.

Dosage should be adjusted according to the child’s weight, and should not exceed the following daily maximum dosage: 20 ~ 26 kg: 3 tablets; 27 ~ 33 kg: 4 tablets; 34 ~ 39 kg: 5 tablets; 40 ~ 46 kg: 6 tablets; 47 ~ 53 kg: 7 tablets; 54 kg and above: 8 tablets.

Precautions

I. Do not use if you have any of the following conditions

  1. A person who has had an allergic reaction to any ingredient in this medicine.
  2. A person with intestinal inflammation (such as ulcerative colitis or pseudomembranous colitis caused by antibiotics).
  3. A person with constipation.
  4. A person with abdominal swelling.
  5. A person with bloody stools or high fever.

II. Consult a doctor before use if you have any of the following conditions

  1. A child under 6 years old.
  2. A breastfeeding woman.
  3. A person taking other medications at the same time, such as medications that reduce gastrointestinal motility (such as anticholinergic drugs), as this may make the effect of this medicine too strong.
  4. A person with abnormal liver function.

 

III. Consult a doctor, pharmacist, or pharmacist before use if you have any of the following conditions

  1. Pregnant women, women who may become pregnant.

 

IV. Other precautions for use

  1. Store properly to prevent accidental ingestion by children.
  2. Avoid direct sunlight.

V. Warnings

  1. If any of the following side effects occur after taking this medication, please discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor, pharmacist, or pharmacist with this instruction manual:
    • Gastrointestinal: Constipation, diarrhea, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, dry mouth
    • Nervous system: Fatigue, dizziness, headache, drowsiness

  2. If any of the following symptoms occur after taking this medication, please discontinue use immediately and seek medical attention:
    • If any discomfort occurs.
    • If diarrhea symptoms do not improve after 48 hours of continuous use of this medication.
    • If muscle stiffness, uncoordinated movements, drowsiness, or weakened breathing occurs.
