I. Contraindications
- Sinus Bradycardia
- Grade 2 ~ 3 cardiac conduction block
- Cardiogenic Shock
- Anuria
- This product is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to this product or sulfonamide drugs
II. Warnings and Precautions
- Patients with hypertension and congestive heart failure should use this product with caution when taking Digitalis and diuretics concurrently, and discontinue use if necessary.
- Patients with renal insufficiency should use this product with caution. Thiazides can cause azotemia in patients with kidney disease. If renal insufficiency is diagnosed while taking this product, discontinue use immediately.
Patients with hepatic impairment or liver disease should use this product with caution as it may cause hepatic coma. Discontinue use 48 hours before surgical anesthesia. Discontinue use before parathyroid function tests. β-receptor blocking effects are inhibited by dobutamine and isoproterenol. Avoid concurrent use with lithium, as it reduces renal clearance and increases lithium toxicity. When taking this product and clonidine concurrently, do not discontinue both simultaneously. Discontinue this product for several days first, then gradually reduce the clonidine dosage. This product may decrease tolerance to glucose; diabetic patients taking this product should undergo frequent monitoring.
III. Important Clinical Side Effects / Adverse Reactions
Nausea, dizziness, convulsions, anorexia, muscle fatigue, leukopenia, granulocytopenia, thrombocytopenia, aplastic anemia; symptoms disappear after discontinuation of the drug.
