Chung Mei Pharmaceutical Receives Two Major Honors After More Than 80 Years of Public Service

i. Since its founding in 1936, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical has worked quietly and diligently to safeguard the people of Taiwan. For more than 80 years, the Group has continuously committed its corporate resources to public welfare. This year, it received two honors: the Chinese Philanthropy Ambassador Award and the Golden Integrity Brand Communication Award.

ii. Chung Mei Pharmaceutical Chairman Lin Ben-Yuan was named a 2021 Chinese Philanthropy Ambassador, recognizing his personal contributions to Taiwanese society. In addition, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical has upheld a steady, practical, and principled approach to business for 85 years. Its receipt of the Golden Integrity Brand Communication Award at the Chinese Philanthropy Festival is therefore a well-deserved distinction.

iii. Lin Ben-Yuan stated that, as a long-established family enterprise, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical has carried forward the values and spirit of four generations: passing down kindness and love through the family, operating with integrity and practicality, and using corporate resources to give back to society. The company continues to apply its professional pharmaceutical expertise to develop safe, effective, and trustworthy products that protect public health.

iv. Now in its fourth year, the Chinese Philanthropy Festival examines how enterprises can begin with an altruistic spirit and create social value across four areas: corporate governance, business integrity, social participation, and environmental protection.

v. Lin Ben-Yuan stated that this year marks Chung Mei Pharmaceutical’s 85th anniversary. Receiving honors for both philanthropy and brand integrity is especially meaningful to the company and represents both encouragement and recognition.

vi. Chung Mei Pharmaceutical’s public welfare initiatives encompass education in remote communities, health education, emergency relief, care for disadvantaged groups, and international disaster assistance. When the COVID-19 pandemic had a profound global impact in 2020, the company actively supported the government’s disease-prevention efforts by donating 15,000 sets of supplies and health products to county and city governments for home-based pandemic preparedness, providing thoughtful care to the public.

vii. During the pandemic, the company also assisted the Jen-An Social Welfare Foundation. Under a recent government vaccination program for disadvantaged groups, it donated supplies designed to ease discomfort following vaccination, helping the government protect public health while supporting vaccination access for vulnerable people.

viii. In appreciation of frontline medical workers’ efforts during the pandemic, the company also donated boxed meals to hospitals in Taipei and New Taipei City. These initiatives received broad recognition and positive feedback from public welfare organizations.

ix. Lin Ben-Yuan emphasized that Chung Mei Pharmaceutical has now reached its fourth generation. In addition to carrying forward its founders’ commitment to conscientious pharmaceutical manufacturing, the company aspires to become a trusted partner that helps the public pursue precise health management and effective self-care.

x. As a fourth-generation successor, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical Group Deputy General Manager Lin Ming-Chuan accepted the awards on behalf of the company. He noted that modern consumers value not only health principles and the meaning communicated by a brand, but also the brand’s approach to environmental and social responsibility.

xi. Accordingly, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical’s product development team works more closely with consumers to create thoughtfully designed products that address their needs and pain points while incorporating the company’s values of kindness. Through its corporate foundation, the company also provides accurate health information in the hope of genuinely protecting public health and offering comprehensive health solutions.

xii. Lin Ming-Chuan stated that, in addition to its commitment to the pharmaceutical field, Chung Mei Pharmaceutical has made public service and contributions to its local community an integral part of its business operations. The company firmly believes that a sustainable enterprise must be founded on the power of kindness and a commitment to its original purpose.

xiii. The company extends its appreciation to the television stations and media platforms that covered the story: UDN, China Times Online, China Times News Network, CTS News, Google News, LINE TODAY, Storm Media, HiNet Life, PChome News, MoneyWeekly, Commercial Times, Economic Daily News, Mirror Media, Wei Media, Yam News, Tao News, Match Life, LIFE News, Sina News, Taichung Local News, TNN Taiwan News, Taiwan Telegram, Good News, Match Life, Jin Bao, and the Apple Daily Shuang Bao Bao Facebook page.
