BISUTON CAPSULES

Indications

Relieves symptoms of allergic rhinitis and hay fever (nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, itchy eyes and throat).
Dosage and Administration
Ingredients

Adults take 1 capsule at a time, 3 times a day, with at least 4 hours between each dose. For children 12 years and older, use the adult dose; for children 6 years and older but under 12 years old, use half the adult dose; for children 3 years and older but under 6 years old, use one-quarter of the adult dose. Infants under 3 years old should consult a physician before use.

Each capsule contains: Carbinoxamine Maleate 4 mg Caffeine anhydrous 50 mg Pseudoephedrine HCl 60 mg

Precautions

I. Do not use if you have any of the following conditions

  • A person who has had an allergic reaction to any ingredient in this medicine.
  • A person taking a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI), or who has stopped taking MAOI for two weeks, should not take this medicine. If you are unsure whether the medicine you are taking contains MAOI, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
  • A person with severe hypertension (systolic blood pressure ≥180 mmHg and/or diastolic blood pressure ≥120 mmHg), end-stage renal failure, or currently undergoing dialysis.
  • II. Consult a doctor before use if you have any of the following conditions

  • Under 12 years old.
  • A person with severe metabolic liver or kidney disease.
  • A person who has been diagnosed with any of the following conditions: heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, or difficulty urinating due to benign prostatic hyperplasia.
  • People with respiratory illnesses: such as chronic bronchitis, emphysema, chronic lung disease, shortness of breath, difficulty breathing, and glaucoma. Children under 12 years of age with renal insufficiency or hypertension. **III. Consult a physician, pharmacist, or pharmacist before use if you have any of the following conditions:** Pregnant women, women who may be pregnant, and breastfeeding women. People taking other cold and flu medications, cough suppressants, expectorants, dizziness medications, rhinitis medications, or antihistamines. People taking sedatives or sleeping pills.     IV. Other Precautions for Use

    1. Store properly to prevent accidental ingestion by children.
    2. Avoid direct sunlight.
    3. Do not exceed the recommended dosage.
    4. May cause drowsiness; do not drive or operate dangerous machinery.
    5. Do not use with alcoholic beverages.
    6. Avoid taking caffeine-containing medications or beverages. Excessive caffeine can cause nervous tension, excitement, and insomnia, and often leads to tachycardia.
    7. Do not exceed the recommended dosage; do not take this medication for more than seven days.

    V. Warnings

    1. Posterior reversible encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) and reversible cerebral vasoconstriction syndrome (RCVS): There have been case reports of PRES and RCVS occurring after using medications containing pseudoephedrine. This risk is increased in users with severe or poorly controlled hypertension, severe or long-term kidney disease, or kidney failure. If the following symptoms occur while using medications containing pseudoephedrine: sudden onset of severe headache or thunderstorm headache, nausea, vomiting, loss of consciousness, seizures, and/or vision problems, discontinue use immediately and seek medical help. Most users who experience PRES or RCVS recover after discontinuing the medication and receiving appropriate treatment.
